[Excerpts from the book “The Principles and Power of Vision by Dr. Myles Monroe]

A little girl was on a cruise ship, and she and her father were standing on the deck The little girl standing on tipto4 said to her father “I cannot see anything” The father picked her up and put her on his shoulders, so that she was higher than anybody else on the deck and she was then able to see everything around her. “Daddy” she exclaimed “I can see farther than my eyes can look”

Sight is a function of the eyes; vision is a function of the heart. Eyes that look are common, but eyes that see [than your eyes can look] are rare

Vision set you free from the limitations of what the eyes can see and allows you to enter into the liberty of what the heart can feel. It is the vision that makes the unseen visible and the unknown possible.

You were born to achieve something significant and you were destined to make a difference in your generation. Your future is not ahead of you it lies within you.

The poorest person in the world is the person without a dream. It has been said if you don’t know where you are going any road will take you there or if you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.

God chose you when and where you were to be born for a reason. Eccl. 3:11 says “he has also set eternity in the hearts of men”. We live in time and space but time and space are connected to eternity, and God has put something into your heart that calls the unseen into the seen. See Romans 4:17

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might Eccl. 9:10 You will accomplish only what you fight for. A man’s gift makes room for him. Prov. 18:16

Money is an inferior reason to work. We must work for the vision within us. Although we are born as originals, most of us become imitators; stop competing with the community, stop being in a contest with society, stop trying to keep up with the Joneses, stop trying to please everybody, be the original God created you to be.

Vision is foresight with insight based on hindsight
