He who has the Spirit of prayer has the highest interest in the Court of Heaven. And the only way to retain it is to keep it in constant employment. Apostasy begins in the closet. No man ever backslid from the life and power of Christianity who continued constant and fervent in private prayer. He who prays without ceasing is likely to rejoice evermore. Adam Clarke
Every man or woman in the Bible and throughout history that have ever gained notoriety in the things pertaining to God, or who have ever changed the course of history for God, have been men and women of prayer.
The Bible is replete with records of great men and women who through prayer have subdued Kingdoms, wrought righteousness, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of aliens and women received their dead raised to life again.
Let us rediscover what the “greats” who have gone before us knew and practiced in their lives and frustrated the plans of the enemy. Remember God has not changed nor can he, let us get back to basics. Let us build an altar of prayer in our church and in our homes that will spur miracles from God again. Join the Intercessors group! This could be your greatest employment in the Kingdom of God!
