Passion for the lost

Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Psalm 2:8

No Christian can live in a vacuum. God has placed every believer on the planet to be a viable force against evil in every form and the best way to combat evil is to do our endeavor best to spread the word of God and to pray for everyone that they might be saved.

Psalms 2:8 should be the cry and prayer of every heart. I believe that each believer should develop a burden for a particular country or countries or a particular group of people. My heart’s cry is for the Islamic people of the world for whom I pray daily.

But the Bible also tells us in 1 Tim. 2:1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

What a great blessing it would be if all the leaders of countries, leaders of governments, political leaders, religious leaders, judges, police officers, teachers, professors and all leaders whether private or public were saved!

We have that responsibility to begin to pray for all those who are in authority and for the heathen in general, all over the world. This should be our daily prayer that God would indeed give us the heathen for our inheritance.

Let is begin and make this part of our daily devotion.

God bless you.
